Political parties condemn various poll related incidents

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland has vehemently condemned the supporters of NPF 19th Phek AC for illegally using a government registered police vehicle Gypsy (NL-10/7194) for election campaign in Phek district.
In a press release issued by BJP Nagaland media cell has stated that it has appealed to Election Commission of India (ECI) to immediately take necessary legal action as per the model code of conduct.
BJP Wokha condemns violence: Wokha district BJP party has strongly condemned the damages of vehicles and other violence in different localities especially at 37th Assembly Constituency (AC) that happened in the past few weeks ahead of the forthcoming state legislative assembly election. A condemnation issued by BJP Wokha media cell has expressed complete disapproval and condemnation over the incident. BJP Wokha district urged the authorities to initiate prompt and be-fitting action against those behind spreading or encouraging any communal violence in the coming days ahead of poll by taking support of the appropriate sections of the law and the IT Act to penalize and punish those responsible for the mischief in the future. It further appealed to the people to restrain from any kind of violence or damage of vehicles, properties and home in the days to come saying that violence will never bring any solution at all.
Kinimi condemns armed trespassers at his residence: Former minister and state executive member BJP, Kheto Kinimi has strongly condemned the trespassing at his residence by unidentified uniformed arms personnel that came inquiring for him at Darogapathar, Dimapur around 7:5 p.m. on February 14. In a condemnation note issued by Kheto Kinimi stated that he was apprehensive of their intentions and that his life is under threat. While stating that such individual doesn’t deserve a place in a civilised society, Kinimi has appealed the police to investigate the case and book the culprit at the earliest.
KWRU condemns February 12 incident: Kohima Wozhuro Range Union (KWRU) has strongly condemned the barbaric act of a group of miscreants who had physically assaulted, manhandled and attacked one of its bonafide members without any rhyme or reason on February 12 by trespassing his private residence at around 6 p.m. at forest colony Wokha.  A condemnation issued by KWRU chairman, Zubemo Lotha stated that the miscreants attacked the victim with a gun who have been seriously injured and undergoing treatment at Kohima. The union viewed this continuous assaults and attacked incidences as a provocative action challenging other Lotha village citizens residing at Wokha town, which is around 153 villages, saying that these continuous incidences had been occurring every election period for the last 15 years under the very eyes and ears of the law keepers which had been tolerated for long by the victimized village citizens residing in Wokha town. KWRU said that if it is not stopped or curbed at the earliest, a day may come where other 153 Lotha village citizens may be compelled to retaliate to defend its citizens. It also said that it was quite irrational and unbecoming of any sane human to let one or two Lotha villages to bulldoze the majority just for the sake of election. The union expects from now on that one should live and let others live in peace and harmony. The Union strongly appealed to the district administration and the district executive force to go in-depth investigation speedily and ascertain the identity of the perpetrators at the earliest and book them under section 352 and 307 IPC, so as to immediately  built confidence over the range public and other Lotha village citizens residing in Wokha town. The Union further appealed to the district administration and police force to provide 24 hours central force security at National highway from Forest colony to Longsa village and all hyper sensitive areas that had been screened by the administration in Wokha town.
RASU condemns life attempt on Mhonlumo Kikon: Ralan Area Student’s Union (RASU) has strongly condemned the life attempt on its former speaker and present candidate from Ralan area, 40 Bhandari A/C, Mmhonlumo Kikon on Saturday evening. A condemnation issued by RASU president, Nchumthung Lotha has stated that the union is deeply hurt over the act and termed the incident as inhuman act and shameless idea provoking the peaceful environment. RASU further urged the law enforcing agencies to take action against the culprits involved in the act.
NCP Nagaland condemns assassination of Jonathone: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Nagaland state unit has vehemently condemned the assassination of NCP candidate of Meghalaya, Jonathone Sangma along with his two supporters and bodyguards by unidentified assailants at Samanda, East Garo hills on Sunday. In a condemnation note issued by NCP Nagaland, Vanthungo Odyuo expressed shock on the brutal act of the event and demanded justice, stating that strict actions should be taken immediately by the concerned authority without any further delay. NCP Nagaland state unit further conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the departed soul would rest in peace.
