Poor internet connectivity in Longleng, which was causing inconvenience to the public, was deliberated at the District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) held at DC’s conference hall on July 26.
A DIPR report, stated that the board members discussed and deliberated on inconvenience faced by the public on non-functioning of ATM and other transaction under SBI Longleng due to breakdown of internet link in the district. It was decided to inform the bank officials to redress the issues with immediate effect. The house also deliberated on non-functioning of Aadhar enrolment and correction centre in Longleng. It was learned that the equipments provided for Addhaar center needs to be updated regularly and were not functioning in the district due to poor internet connectivity.
SDO Civil, Longleng, D. Robin informed the members that Aadhar center will be made functional after updating the system where the work was underway. He also admitted that delay in updating the system was also due to poor internet connectivity in the district.
Registration of PhomLempong Children’s Home under Society Registration Act, Establishment of Primary Schools at 12th NAP (IR) Battalion, Chingtok and grant in aid to Christ King School, Longleng were discussed.
The board further forwarded the following agendas to the concern department for approval and necessary action.
Earlier, DC Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam, who chaired the meeting, welcomed the members present and cited the reasons behind the delay of conducting the meeting.
It was followed by self-introduction by the new members and review of last meeting minutes.
Dr. Ketholelie Mere, VAS, DVO office Longleng presented departmental activities of the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary through power point. ADS (Supply) Longleng, Jamonger Ao also gave a power point presentation on the department activities. DC further directed the department of Fisheries and Irrigation to present their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
