Poshan Maah launched at Meluri

DIMAPUR

Department of Social Welfare, ICDS Project Meluri, organised the launching programme of Poshan Maah 2025 at Meluri Village Council Hall on September 18.
According to DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner Meluri, Mhathung Tsanglao, graced the occasion as special guest and emphasized the importance of updating the Facial Recognition System (FRS) and fostering collective efforts to uplift the district.
He highlighted the role of community participation and convergence departments in ensuring successful implementation of initiatives aimed at growth and development.
Medical Officer, CHC Meluri, Dr. Kelelo Pradia, spoke on the importance of balanced nutrition, stressing the need to reduce sugar and oil intake to combat obesity and strengthen immunity.
Senior Supervisor, Watsüsie, delivered the welcome address, while CDPO i/c and DPO Meluri, Thorhosie Kajiri, presented the keynote address outlining this year’s themes—“Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Practices.
The programme was chaired by Poshan Block Coordinator, Kuhuvelu Chotso, who also led the Poshan Pledge. Vote of thanks was pronounced by Supervisor, Abigail Ritse.
Anganwadi workers, helpers, crèche workers and public leaders from across Meluri District attended the event.
