
Poshan Maah was launched at Wokha and Mon, with the objective of spreading awareness to reduce malnutrition, and to attain malnutrition free nation on September 1. During the celebration the message will be spread to every home on the meaning of right nutrition, nutritious food, clean water and right practices for life.
Wokha: Deputy commissioner (DC), Wokha, Orenthung Lotha launched Poshan Maah at Wokha on September 1. According to DIPR report, district coordinator, Poshan Maah Poshan Abhiyaan, Shanjothung Ngullie, who chaired the launching programmed said, the entire month of September is being celebrated as Poshan Maah. DC called upon all concerned in the scheme to put more effort in the process of implementation for the success of the programme. He also stressed on spreading maximum awareness to attain malnutrition free country for healthy mind and soul. District project assistant, Poshan Abhiyaan, Annie Lotha led the gathering in reading out the Poshan pledge.
Mon: A short programme for the launching of Poshan Maah was held at district Social Welfare office, Mon on September 1, with DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, as special guest. DC emphasized that everyone should followed SOP to treat himself/herself as an symptomatic carrier of COVID-19 and should take necessary safety precaution to break the chain of transmission. Nokyam Khoiyem district coordinator chaired the programme. Y. Tauhong Ngonyen, district programme officer, delivered a speech on the main aims and objectives of Poshan Maah. Poshan pledge was led by Laitak, CDPO, Tobu.
