Poshan Pakhwada 2021 culminates in Nagaland

Poshan Pakhwada (nutrition fortnight), a mission to create awareness on nutrition and its importance on children, lactating mother and adolescent child culminated on March 31 in various districts.

Peren: Department of social welfare observed the culmination programme at DC’s conference hall, Peren.

According to DIPR report, ADC Peren, Mhathung Tsanglao encouraged the department and its team to keep up the good work and to do far better in the coming days.

Deputy CMO, Dr. Lanuakum mentioned how the district administration, department of social welfare and department of health and family welfare (H&FW) were interlinked and inseparable in their activities and services to the public.

The programme was chaired by district programme officer, Asangla Jamir while district program assistant, Poshan Abhiyan, Mezilungliu Nchang gave the report on Poshan Pakhwada.

Of the targeted 4000 programmes, the district was able to conduct 2005 programmes at five blocks of Peren district with a total participation of 30,000. 

Mokochung: In Mokokchung district, the culmination programme of Poshan Pakhwada was held at Sangtemla ward, multi-purpose hall.

According to DIPR report, EAC Mokokchung, Sentilong Ozukum in his brief speech thanked the department of social welfare for the proactive role undertaken while implementing the programmes from the centre.

He called upon all to keep up their good effort and dedication by maintaining that education, health care and nutrition were fundamental in helping a nation develop towards a healthy society.

DPO (ICDS) Mokokchung, I. Mangliyangba in his report on Poshan Pakhwada said that altogether 1859 different activities were carried out in the district. The programme was chaired by Kubolong project senior supervisor, Atsole Khalo. Slide show on the activities of Poshan Pakhwada 2021 was presented by Team Poshan and concluding remarks was delivered by CDPO Kubolong Imliyanger.
