Post JM at Kiphire, BJP demands

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a letter has urged the principal secretary Law and Justice to immediately deploy posting of Judicial Magistrate (JM) at Kiphire. The signatory, BJP executive member, S.Tsasemong Sangtam said that the JM Kiphire retired on February 29, 2016 but till date no posting of new incumbent have been made.  Expressing dismayed over the issue, the signatory said that the present Tuensang District Judicial Magistrate was holding additional charge for Kiphire district, which has created inconvenience to the incumbent to cover Tuensang to Kiphire which is 125 Kms.  Moreover, the BJP executive member said that many cases could not settle on time owing to none deployment of JM in Kiphire for the last six months. Therefore, the signatory appealed to the competent authority to examine the matter for the welfare of the general public and post JM at the earliest.
