A poster campaigned was launched Thursday night by some claiming to be “Loyal NPF party workers” against chief minister T.R. Zeliang’s government in an around Dimapur city.
Some of the posters which read: “down down TR Zeliang and pave the way for majority, accept voice of the people & step down, hon’ble governor please dismiss minority TR Zeliang govt., etc”, were seen pasted at Clock tower and Circular road area, Thursday night.
Sources from NPF (Noke-Kaito) camp said that they were not aware about the campaign but added that some NPF party “sympathizers” may have started the poster campaign. An owner of a kiosk who was selling fast foot at Clock tower, said that some six to seven youths were seen pasting the posters at around 8 p.m.
