KOHIMA, SEP 5 (NPN): Large potholes have emerged at several locations across Kohima town, causing inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians and raising concerns over road safety.
Potholes have been reported at Razhü Point, near SKV petrol pump, Old NST, PR Hill Junction and Mohonkhola, among other areas.
Residents and commuters have expressed concern over what they described as prolonged neglect of road repairs, saying damaged stretches have made travel difficult and potentially hazardous. Motorists have been forced to manoeuvre around the potholes, posing additional risks to other vehicles and pedestrians.
Some residents told Nagaland Post that minor accidents have reportedly occurred in some areas because of the poor road conditions. The public has urged the concerned authorities to repair the affected stretches at the earliest to prevent further accidents and ensure safer movement of motorists and pedestrians across Kohima town.
