Department of Power, Dimapur Electrical Division has informed all the electricity consumers that it would be carrying out raid and disconnection drive for non-payment of electricity bills and all other illegal activities such as meter tampering and hooking for all categories of consumers within its jurisdiction without further notice.
In a notice, the Dimapur Electrical Division executive engineer Y. Akito Sema informed that raid and disconnection drive would be continue on a daily basis till new directives or order in this regard.
Therefore, the department has advised the consumers to pay their electricity bill within the stipulated time in order to avoid any inconveniences.
In case of any discrepancies/grievances regarding electricity bill, one could visit the office of the respective SDO (E) NO-I, II, III for clarification/correction/rectification at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the department has reminded the consumers that there had been some modifications in the online payment portal. It stated that earlier mobile app “DoPN” downloaded from the play store has been disabled so as to enable more payment options. Therefore, to make payments online, one could login at www.dopn.gov.in to view and pay electricity bill online through Gpay, Phonepe, SBI YONO, Amazon, Paytm, BHIM.
