The state government of has notified that the New Electricity Tariff for all consumers as per Tariff Schedule FY 2024-25 has come into effect from April 1, 2024.
Informing this in a press note, Kohima electrical division executive engineer Er. Shiludi Lkr said that the existing prepayment consumers (standalone pre-paid meter) would be provided with a one-time recharge token containing the updated tariffs in the next recharge– 120 digit recharge code for Genus make meters, and 40 digit recharge code for Secure make meters. Standalone pre-paid consumers have been requested to enter these digits in the same manner as the usual recharge token. Subsequent future recharge tokens would be of 20 digits only for the current financial year.
Consumers facing difficulties have been advised to contact pre-paid helpline contact numbers 7629865368 (Kohima) and 8415900400 (Dimapur &Chümoukedima). Pre-paid consumer can also contact pre-paid service points at SDO, Sub-Division-I, Chandmari and West Road Mall, Jail Colony in Kohima, or Jain Temple Road, Marwari Patti and Department of Power Customer Care Centre, Near Flyover, Burma Camp in Dimapur. Further, all standalone prepayment consumers have advised to utilize the department’s portal https://prepaid.dopn.gov.in to make recharge for their convenience.
