Power deptt informs consumers on E-billing

Power department has informed the electricity consumers that since the department was in the process of migrating to E-Billing of electricity bills, hence no hard copies of the electricity bills will be served.


In a press release, executive engineer, Dimapur electrical division, Er. Y. Akito Sema has, however, informed that electricity bills would be delivered to the consumers in the form of SMS, E-mail. The department informed that electricity bills would also be made available in the web portal www.dopn.gov.in In order to migrate to E-Billing, the department said it would need to update the consumers credentials with valid mobile number and valid e-mail address.

Therefore, the department has requested the consumers to visit their respective office of the sub-divisional officer and submit their valid consumers credentials. Besides, the consumers could also visit the web portal www.dopn.gov.in and login, where they would have the option to register as new user. Once the valid consumer Number is registered successfully, consumers could get access to update profile option and their credentials can be updated instantly.


The department informed that its main perspective to adopt E-Billing was in line with energy conservation, digital India initiative and save environment.
