Power deptt releases top 100 defaulting SPM villages

Department of Power on Tuesday released the list of top 100 defaulting SPM villages in Nagaland. 
A DIPR report stated the department was compelled to release the details since the villages had failed to clear the dues despite several reminders and notices.
It said that the top 100 VEMB arrear amounted to Rs. 3.49 crore.
According to the department the top five villages were– Chozuba village under Phek division- Rs. 33,33,000 upto to August 2017; Tuensang village under Tuensang division- Rs. 20,58,552 upto September 2017; Phek village under Phek division- Rs. 9,88,005 upto August 2017’ Ahtibung under Peren division- Rs. 9,40,292 upto September 2017 and Chizami New Town under Phek division- Rs. 9,25,811.
