Department of power, Dimapur electrical division, has informed that the department would be carrying out raid and disconnection drive for non-payment of electricity bills and all other illegal activities like meter tampering and hooking for all categories of consumers within its jurisdiction without further notice
In a press release, Dimapur electrical division executive engineer (EE) Y Akito Sema stated that the drive, being conducted as per the state government office memorandum No. PWRW-50/99 dt. 07.03.2006, would be continued on a daily basis till new directives or order was issued.
The department has advised the consumers to pay their electricity bill within the stipulated time in order to avoid any inconveniences.
In case of any discrepancies/grievances regarding electricity bill, one could visit the office of the respective SDO (E) NO-I, II, III for clarification/correction/rectification at the earliest.
