In an effort to facilitate stable power supply during the upcoming winter festive season and Hornbill Festival 2019, Power department would be carrying out jungle clearance of 33kV lines under transmission division Kohima from October 10 to November 2.
Transmission division Kohima executive engineer T Lithrichum Sangtam said that the department would try to minimize the total shutdown. The jungle clearance would be undertaken from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Lerie-Jakhama section (33kV Kohima Ringmain-2 feeder) October 10 and October 11; Kohima-10th Mile-Zhadima –Viphoma- Tsosunyu-Botsa Area (33kV Botsa feeder) October 12-26; Kohima-Lalmati (33kV Lalmati and AP-1 feeder) October 28-31 and Kohima-Chakhabama (33kV Chakhabama feeder) November 1 and November 2.
