Inauguration programme of office building of Electrical division, Kiphire was held at Kiphire town on November 24, with minister, Soil & Water Conservation, Geology & Mining, NSMDC Ltd, V. Kashiho Sangtam as the special guest and advisor of Power, Tovihoto Ayemi as guest of honour.
According to DIPR report, V. Kashiho Sangtam in his speech thanked the government for having concern for the people of Kiphire. He also urged all the GBs and civil societies to cooperate with the government for the development of the Kiphire even in days to come. He mentioned that whatever funds were coming for the aspiration should be properly utilised for the development of Kiphire district.
Tovihoto in his speech urged the public to cooperate with the government and also appealed to the officers and staff of Power department to be more sincere and efficient in their duties. Pointing out that if staff were not regular in their duty, it will not benefit the government as well as the public, Tovihoto called upon them to be more dedicated.
Engineer-in charge (Power) Er. Shikato Sema in his speech urged all the officers and staff of the division to be regular and be available in the office and serve the public as the building was primarily constructed for public service. He also requested the public to cooperate with the department, especially when drawing transmission and distribution lines, sub-stations etc so as to serve them better. The team also inspected the 132/66/33kv Kiphire substation and noted the apparent conditions of the infrastructures which needed urgent attention such as approach road and security fencing. Earlier, programme was chaired by chief engineer (D&R) Power, Er. Moa Aier and vote of thanks was delivered by Er. Khriechusa More (E) Electrical division Kiphire.
