Department of Power has informed that the power supply to Longleng and Mon districts and also Changtongya and Tuli area under Mokokchung district has been disrupted due to a major line snap caused by lightning strike damaging the insulators along the 66 KV Mokokchung-Tuli transmission line on August 15, 2016 at Liroyimti near Changtongya, Mokokchung. In a press release, Mokokchung Transmission Division executive engineer Mhonlumo Kikon stated that restoration work was going on in full swing and requested affected electricity consumers to bear with the situation.
