Power outage in four dists; supply to Phek, Kiphire hit

Power department would be shutting down 132/66/33kV 2x100MVA Nagarjan sub-station on October 13, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. to facilitate routine maintenance. In a press note, executive engineer transmission division Dimapur informed that during the shutdown period, power supply to the districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Peren would be affected.


Power supply to Kiphire, Phek affected: Power department had informed that power supply to Kiphire and Phek districts has been affected including power generation of Likimro HEP due to line fault in the 66 kV Tuensang-Kiphire Transmission line since the afternoon of October 11, 2023.


In a press release, executive engineer transmission division Kohima informed that alternative source for catering power supply through 132 kV Kohima-Meluri-Kiphire transmission line was also affected as one tower near Losami village in Phek district has been dismantled by landslide. Efforts to restore 66 kV Tuensang-Kiphire transmission line is underway.
