Power shutdown in four districts

DIMAPUR, JUL 24 (NPN): Power supply to Chümoukedima and Peren districts, along with parts of Dimapur and Niuland districts, would remain disrupted on July 27, 2026 due to a scheduled transmission shutdown for vegetation clearance work.
In a press release, transmission division Dimapur executive engineer SI Asangba Tikhir informed that the department would undertake a shutdown of the 66kV Chümoukedima and 66kV Ganeshnagar transmission lines from 6am to 9am to facilitate vegetation clearing near the Zoological Park area.
During the shutdown, power supply would be affected for consumers fed through Sovima, Chümoukedima and Ganeshnagar substations.
The department expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and sought the cooperation from consumers.
