Power shutdown in Sanis, Bhandari July 6

DIMAPUR: The Department of Power, Office of the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Kohima has informed that an emergency vegetation clearance and maintenance programme of the 132kV Doyang–Sanis Line and 132kV Sanis–Wokha Transmission Line will be undertaken on July 6, 2026.
To facilitate smooth execution of the activity and ensure stable power supply, there will be a total shutdown of electricity in Sanis and Bhandari areas from 9 am to 4 pm.
The department has therefore requested all consumers and the public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear with the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Kohima further informed that the exercise was unavoidable and necessary to prevent disruption and maintain reliable services.
