Power shutdown scheduled in 4 dists

DIMAPUR, OCT 24 (NPN): Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Dimapur, has informed that vegetation clearance works along 66 kV transmission lines under the division will be carried out from October 26 to November 4,2026.
In a notification, the department informed that the exercise was aimed at ensuring a stable power supply and preventing unplanned disruptions. To facilitate the work, there will be total shut down in the affected areas as per the scheduled dates and timings. October 26 (6 a.m. to 10 a.m.): 66 kV Sovima-ChümoukedimaT/L (LILO), affecting Chümoukedima district.
October 27-28 (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.): 66 kV Ganeshnagar T/L, affecting parts of Chümoukedima and Peren districts. October 30-31 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.): 66 kV Dairy Farm-Nito Farm T/L (LILO), affecting Niuland district.
November 2-4 (6 a.m. to 9 a.m.): 66 kV Nagarjan-Zoological Park composite line, affecting parts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Peren districts. The department has therefore appealed to residents in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
