On the eve of Easter, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu has sent her greetings to all fellow citizens especially to the Christian community residing in India and abroad.
In a message, the president said the sacred festival of Easter commemorating resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, conveyed a message of selfless love and service. She said the sacrifice of Jesus Christ teaches the value of renunciation and forgiveness. Murmu further said that the life of Jesus inspires humanity to follow the path of truth, justice and compassion.
“On this joyous occasion, let us adopt his life-values and promote peace and prosperity in the society,” she added. CM, Dy CM Greet: Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y. Patton have extended greetings to Christians across the state on the occasion of Resurrection Sunday (Easter).
In his message, Rio said, “We rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ—a glorious triumph of life over death and hope over despair. The empty tomb is a reminder of new life, eternal hope, and the promise of salvation through Him.” He wished everyone a blessed Resurrection Sunday.
Deputy CM Y. Patton, in his message, said the world celebrates the triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ and is reminded of redemption through His love and sacrifice. Urging all to celebrate the occasion with thanksgiving and praise, Patton, on behalf of the BJP legislators, extended heartiest Easter greetings and wished that the day be a blessing to all.
