Pro Rural holds health workshop for ASHA workers in Tening

Pro Rural, a community development group, organized a one-day capacity-building workshop for ASHA workers and health staff on July 18 at Old Council Hall, Tening Town.
A total of 37 ASHA workers, along with nurses and staff from Sub-Centers, PHCs and CHC under Tening block, attended the training. The workshop focused on national health programmes like RNTCP (Tuberculosis), Non-Communicable Diseases, Reproductive and Child Health, Immunization, and the DISHA health information system. Sessions were conducted through interactive learning, led by experienced health educators from the district.
As part of its commitment to rural healthcare, Pro Rural distributed blood pressure monitors and sugar testing kits to all ASHA workers.
Pro Rural director, Paul Lokho, welcomed the participants and highlighted the key role of village health workers in remote areas. He thanked the HCL Foundation for supporting the event.
