Professional skill on tourism, hotel management launched at JMC

A launching programme of a professional skill on tourism and hotel management under Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (ITHM) was held on Friday at Jubilee Memorial College (JMC) Mokokchung, the training centre for the course.


A press release by JMC Mokokchung stated that 30 trainees, within and outside the college, registered for the free training course which is approved and sponsored by the directorate of employment, skill development and entrepreneurship, government of Nagaland, At the programme, JMC Mokokchung, principal, Dr. Imtiwati Jamir discussed the relevance of skill training and the demand for skilled workers in the labour market.

ITHM coordinator, Debasish shared his insights and experiences at the hospitality sector, the placements in India and abroad, and the requirements to be successfully employed.
The launching programme was headed by assistant professor, department of sociology, Supongsangla Walling and also attended by trainer, Arensungla Aier.
