Prohibitory order extended at Khar village

Following the clash between supporters of two rival intending candidates at Khar village on December 28 evening, the deputy commissioner (DC) Mokokchung Shashank Pratap Singh has further extended prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC by another 48 hours, till 9 p.m. of January 1, 2023.
Further, in pursuance of Section 21 of the Arms Act, 1959, and in continuation of the December 28 order, DC also reiterated the instruction to all arms licence holders at Khar village to deposit their firearms to the nearest police station with immediate effect.
