Project Empathy releases ‘Walk With Me’

Project Empathy, a non-profit organization, has released “Walk With Me,” a powerful musical collaboration emerging from the Naga Oral History: Stories of Empathy journey. Created entirely by musicians from Nagaland, the song highlights the artistic depth of Northeast India and contributes an Indian voice to the global conversation on compassion and shared humanity.
Written and composed by Parasher Baruah and soulfully rendered by Diapeo, Walk With Me is described as a gentle yet stirring call to listen without judgment, to stand beside one another, and to move forward together. The track draws emotional resonance from evocative guitar by Wonchi Patton, moving piano by Kiran Meitei, and a powerful arrangement by Viketuolie Metha. The project was supported and guided by composer Khyo TCK, along with Mayuri Rajkonwar and Yogi Dholakia.
Rooted in lived experiences and oral histories from Nagaland, the song carries a universal message that empathy is not merely an idea but a way forward for humanity. Project Empathy describes the release as an “empathy anthem” for a fractured and fast-changing world, underscoring the belief that the ability to feel for one another remains humanity’s greatest strength.
The music video, directed and shot by Parasher Baruah, edited by Kashyap Kulkarni, and featuring additional cinematography by Caimas and Vikepe, visually extends the journey of togetherness, resilience, and hope witnessed in Nagaland and across India.

With this release, Project Empathy celebrates not only a song, but a movement — one that places empathy at the heart of India’s cultural voice to the world.
