The Central Team of Naga People’s Front (NPF), led by secretary general Achumbemo Kikon, reached Shilloi Lake on Monday enroute to the Avakhung International Trade Centre (ITC) to take part in the public protest rally scheduled on April 29 at Avakhung ITC.
Jointly organized by the Phokhungri Area Public Organisation (PAPO) and the NPF, the rally aims to protest against the proposed removal of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and the construction of border fencing along the Indo-Myanmar border.
The event will kick off in the morning, featuring speeches from notable leaders and community representatives. The highlight will be a keynote address by Achumbemo Kikon.
This was stated in a press release issued by Press Bureau NPF Central HQ, Kohima.
