Public Service Aspirants of Nagaland (PSAN) has appealed to the state government to adhere to the court order with regard to all contract/adhoc appointments. In a press note, PSAN media cell reminded that Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench had stayed the OM No.AR-5/ASSO/98 dated 4.8.2008 and OM No.AR-5/ASSO/98 dated 11.08.2016.
Following the PIL filed by ACAUT & PSAN challenging the two OMs, GHC through an interim order dated 28.7.2017 stayed the two OMs, it said. In this regard, PASN has cautioned all the departments that if any contract/adhoc appointees are found to have been be made without open advertisement, defying the court order, it would initiate contempt proceeding against the erring department officials.
Therefore, PSAN has appealed to all departments to strictly adhere to the court order. It also appealed to all right thinking citizens to come forward and inform ACAUT/PSAN of any illegal regularization under process or made in the departments and support its fight “against the sinister design of the state government to deny its citizen of equal opportunity in matters of employment as enshrined in the Constitution.”
