PSC inspects govt offices in Longleng

DIMAPUR: Phom Students’ Conference (PSC), led by its Inspection Committee convener, carried out an inspection of various government departments in Longleng to assess office functioning and staff presence during official working hours.
According to PSC media cell, the Committee observed that while some departments were functioning efficiently with satisfactory staff attendance, several offices were found locked during working hours. PSC termed such practices as serious negligence and a lack of responsibility in serving both the department and the public of Longleng district.
PSC has strongly directed all government departments and their respective Heads of Departments to remain stationed at their place of posting and ensure smooth, regular and uninterrupted functioning of their offices.
Inspection Committee convener and PSC general secretary, Imkongchingba Phom, stated that inspections would continue on a regular basis. He urged all departments to resume and maintain proper office functioning within this month without fail.
He further cautioned that the next round of inspections would be conducted more strictly, and any department found absent from station, failing to function, or keeping offices locked during working hours would compel PSC to take its own course of action. PSC also warned that concerned department, would be held solely responsible for any consequences arising thereof.
