Parliamentary Standing Committee (PSC) on Rural Development, Government of India are on a three-day visit to Nagaland from June 20 t0 23, 2016.
The 21 member team of MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha led by MP and chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Rural Development, Dr. P. Venugopal arrived at state capital, Kohima today evening. The team would visit Khonoma and Jotsoma villages to inspect various schemes and would also conduct discussions with village level functionaries. During an interactive session on June 21 at de Oriental Grand, Kohima, the committee would have interaction with chief secretary, state and bank officials and with various departments including Irrigation & Flood Control, Land Resources, Agriculture, Rural Development, Social welfare, PWD (R&B), Land Revenue and Food & Civil Supplies. Power point presentation will also be done by State Bank of India, Rural Development, Land Resources, PHED and PWD & R&B (PMGSY). The team would later visit War Cemetery, Kohima before departure to Dimapur.
