Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) has on two separate “usual routine checking” seized 1020 bottles of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) from Night Super Bus of Nagaland State Transport (NST) and the other from one Zonal Taxi of Phek town.
PTYS the seized consignments were destroyed on December 29 in the view of public and frontal organization of GBs, colony chairmen, Chakhesang Mothers Association, and Phek Area Mothers Association.
The society has also served a stern warning to all the bootleggers, NST department and zonal taxi union of Phek town that selling or transporting illegal liquor inside the town shall confront dire consequences hereafter.
PTYS president has stated that the youths of Phek Town will be very vigilant on the illegal trade, which is a threat to the lives of old and young.
Furthermore, president Chakhesang Mothers Association, Zaposhelu said that if any offender found indulging in any anti-social activities shall be penalized pertaining to its standing code of conduct.
