
173rd CRPF Battalion constructed a waiting shed and girls toilet at GPS Chümoukedima village under its flagship civic action programme (CAP), wherein the projects were inaugurated by Vishnu Gautam, commandant, CRPF 173rd Battalion on February 27.
A press release from 173rd CRPF Battalion stated that, in a brief programme held at GPS, Chümoukedima village, Vishnu Gautam highlighted on CAP and also stressed on the need of such programmes for the community.
Razouvotuo Chatsu, chairman, Chümoukedima Village Council expressed gratitude to the CRPF for contributing much needed utilities towards the community. He imbued confidence that the goodwill initiatives will ultimately help clear the “misconception and fear psychosis people associate with Security and paramilitary forces and build trust and mutual understanding.”
Earlier, programme was chaired by asst. commandant Videkho Keyie. Others who attended included EAC, Chümoukedima Thejavizo Nakhro, village G.Bs, leaders and faculty of GPS, Chümoukedima.
