In a public circular issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, has invited public to witness the opening ceremony of the Dr. T Ao Trophy, Inter District Football Tournament, 2025 set to commence on Friday, August 1, 5 PM at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
The ceremony will be graced by the chief minister of Nagaland, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, and promises to mark the beginning of an exciting sporting season in the state. Following the inauguration, the first match of the tournament will be played between Kohima district and Tseminyu district.
To ensure maximum public participation, free entry to the stadium has been arranged for the opening day. Additionally, a complimentary bus shuttle service will operate from High School Junction to Indira Gandhi Stadium, starting from 4:00 PM.
Football fans and residents of Nagaland are encouraged to witness the vibrant start of this anticipated tournament and cheer for their district teams.
