Public memorial condolence service at Agri Expo site today

Naga public organizations under the aegis of Naga Hoho and ENPO have appealed to all the Naga civil society organizations, various Naga tribe organizations, all the Naga national political groups, political parties, concerned Naga citizens and well wishers to attend the public memorial condolence service in honour of our beloved legendary of the Naga nation Late Isak Chishi Swu, NSCN chairman on June 30 at 2 p.m. at Agri-Expo, Dimapur.
Meanwhile, as per the directive of the Naga Hoho, the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has informed all the citizens of Dimapur to pay their last tribute and homage to late Isak Chishi Swu, chairman of the collective leadership of NSCN (I-M), on June 30.
NCD said the body would be received at Dimapur airport with fill respect and honour. Thereafter, all present would proceed to the Agri Expo grounds, where the funeral service would be conducted in the presence of Nagaland and Assam governor P.B. Acharya and Nagaland chief minister T.R. Zeliang at 1p.m. The council has therefore requested all the affiliated 19 tribal hohos along with other civil society organisations such as Naga Women Hoho Dimapur, DNSU, DUCCF, GB Union Dimapur etc. along with all the other different communities residing in Dimapur to attend the funeral service in traditional attires.
In connection with the Public Memorial Service to be held at Agri Expo Dimapur, DC Dimapur has informed public to gather and await the mortal remains of the leader at the Expo site to facilitate smooth passage from the airport till the memorial service site.
WSKH: Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has also informed all the GBs under Western Sumi to gather at Dimapur Airport on June 30, 10:30 a.m. wearing traditional attire to receive the mortal remains to Isak Chishi Swu.
APO informs
Angami Public Organisation (APO) along with all Angami frontal organizations would be organizing a reception to honor the late Isak Chishi Swu at Kohima town on Friday, July 1 where a brief tribute service would be held at Old MLA Junction.
Informing this in a press note, APO president Dr. Vilhousa Seleyi has asked all concerned tribal organisation, NGOs based in Kohima to coordinate with APO for the event at the earliest.
During the proceeding hours of the arrival of the body, APO said normal life/activities would be disrupted. For this, APO has requested the public to cooperate and pay the last respect to the leader.
