Public Action Committee (PAC) of the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) Monday informed that a public rally would be organised in Dimapur on October 31 against multiple taxation, lease syndicate system and illegal collections by different organizations and government departments. In a press release, PAC convenor, Yekhosayi Nyekha and co-convenor, K Ghokheto Chophy, stated that the decision to hold rally was taken at a meeting with 19 tribal bodies, Naga Women Hoho Dimapur, DUCCF, GBs Union, BAN, Dimapur Baptist Women Union, educational institutions, non- Naga organizations of Dimapur, various student bodies at Unity Hall, NCD on October 22, 2018.
Meanwhile, to discuss about the proposed rally, the PAC has convened a meeting on October 26, 2018 at the council office chamber with DUCCF, GBs union and NWHD.
