Public washroom inaugurated along NH-702A near Chetheba

DIMAPUR

A newly constructed public washroom along NH-702A at Khüsuntüka (Brotherhood Road), near Chetheba Town, was inaugurated on June 20 through a youth-led crowdfunding effort by the Altruist Society, Chetheba.
Village Council chairman of Thenyizu, Medothi Rhakho, was the special guest at the event and inaugurated the facility. He lauded the initiative and said the washroom would be a big relieve for travelers and improve sanitation along the highway. He thanked the donors and encouraged the Altruist Society to continue such community-driven efforts.
The programme began with a prayer by landowner Maha Nakro, and a vote of thanks by Zavekho Resu. According to the organisers, 40 donors from different districts of Nagaland contributed to the project.
The Altruist Society planned and executed the construction of the facility.
