The Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) Pughoboto meeting was held with SDPDB chairman and MLA, Y. Vikheho Swu, at ADC office Pughoboto on November 3.
DIPR reports that SDO (Civil), Tiayanger Jamir reviewed the last meeting minutes. EAC Nuhuta highlighted the Clean Pughoboto Committee and also asked officers who had not submitted their verification report on before November 7.
Briefing the meeting, the SDO (C) said the Governor will be visiting Pughoboto for the 4th edition of Thuwu-ni festival, which will begin from November 15, to be celebrated for three days
Y. Vikheho Swu said two awards will be given during the mega event: One for the highest harvest village and another for the individual harvest award. Swu added that he was planning to include entrepreneur of the year and best performing awards for a village chairman and VDB secretary. Swu further said that after the Thuwu-ni festival a group of people will be sent on a Thuwu -ni Tour to a meat production center in Guwahati in January and another group will be sent to the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnog, Shillong. He added that the first tour was a part of fulfilling the vision to establish a meat production centre in Pughoboto. The house also agreed to conduct the ministerial staff training next month.
