Pughoboto SDPDB resolves to institute Best Employee Award

DIMAPUR: The monthly Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) Pughoboto meeting was held on July 2, 2026 under the chairmanship of Dr. Sukhato A. Sema MLA.
According to a DIPR report, the Board unanimously approved the LADP proposal for 2026–27, paving the way for the implementation of development projects in the sub division. To promote efficiency and excellence in public service, the Board resolved to institute the Sub Divisional Best Employee Award. A committee comprising representatives from Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho (SAH), Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK), Sumi Aphuyemi Totimi Hoho (SATH) and Sumi Aphuyemi Kukami Hoho (SAKH)will evaluate nominations, with the SAH president as convener. Heads of Offices were directed to submit nominations with detailed justifications to the ADC by August 5, 2026.
SDO (Civil) Yitachu Thurr informed that census operations had commenced, but poor internet connectivity due to power outages hampered activities. The Board resolved to take up the issue with telecom and internet providers to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
The deteriorating condition of the Pughoboto–Ghathashi Road caused by heavy rainfall was also discussed. For public safety, the Board decided to temporarily restrict heavy vehicle movement along the affected stretch, while permitting light vehicles and those engaged in essential services.
As part of departmental presentations, Functional Manager Hekato K. Jimo of the Sub District Industries Centre (SDIC) gave a detailed overview of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme. He highlighted objectives of strengthening MSMEs through finance, technology, market linkages and capacity building, while stressing the importance of access to institutional credit.
The Board appreciated the presentation and resolved that the Power Department would present at the next meeting. It further decided to convene a coordination meeting of all Heads of Offices, educational institutions and NGOs on July 15 at 11 a.m. to finalise arrangements for Independence Day 2026.
The meeting was co chaired by newly posted ADC and Vice Chairman James T. Khulu.
