Padumpukhuri Village Council (PVC) at the meeting held on April 21 has resolved and adopted certain resolutions for strict implementation within the village.
In a press release, PVC head GB Soremo Lotha and chairman Aheto Yepthomi informed that except school buses and medical emergencies all other heavy vehicles will not be allow to ply within the village main road from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm on all working days. The council warned that penalty will be imposed on the defaulters.
Auto owners and drivers were asked to strictly follow the given rate and guidelines relating to autofares and parking lot/ zone within the village.
The council also informed that along with pharmacies, hair salon and shops dealing with exclusively bakery items will be permitted to open on Sunday but only after 1 p.m, while construction workers were asked not to undertake any activities on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the house reaffirmed on its earlier resolution dated November 5, 2021, warned that action will be initiated against any individuals or group found involved in selling liquors illegal items or drugs. In this connection, GBs have been entrusted to take all necessary measures and conduct surprise checking. It also apprised trade and commerce committee to regularly check the prices of different items in the market.
