To commemorate the 90th birth anniversary of Lt. Manik Bhattacharjee, the school’s founder, Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur celebrated “Elders Day” on November 7.
Vice-principal PVHSS, A.K. Ray delivered keynote speech on late Manik Babu’s life, career, and achievements while a senior teacher Priti Bhattacharya, delivered a speech highlighting Lt. Manik Bhattacharjee’s contribution to the establishment of educational institutions in Dimapur and Bokajan, Karbi Anglong in Assam.
The teaching and non-teaching staff paid tribute to Lt. Manik Bhattacharjee and his comrades by offering floral tributes. Assistant teacher, Dilip Das, presented a poem by Rabindranath Tagore, and senior teacher, Sarmistha Mukherjee presented Tagore’s song dedicated to Lt. Manik Bhattacharjee.
The event concluded with the National Anthem.
