Pranab Vidyapith Higher. Secondary School (PVHSS) Dimapur celebrated its annual prize giving ceremony, 2016-2017 on January 11 at Pranab jubilee auditorium.
The programme was graced assistant secretary BSS Kolkata, Swami Biswapremanandaji Maharaj as the chief guest and member of the executive body of central committee of B.S.S, Swami Dyaneshanandaji Maharaj as the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion Swami Biswapremanandaji Maharaj applauded the management, teachers and the students of the Vidyapith for their untiring effort to make the school a premier altar of education in the whole state.
In a short speech, founder headmaster, L.C. Das urged upon the students, teachers and parents to extend their self-less co-operation to shape the school a glorious centre of learning.
Earlier, principal of PVHSS, Monoj Bhattacharjee presented the school annual report. Chief guest also unveiled the School Magazine ‘Pranabam’.
Prizes were awarded to the winners of inter school/ college essay competition followed by a cultural programme staged by the students of the school.
Meanwhile, to mark the centenary celebration of B.S.S., the devotees and well-wishers of the Sangha organized a colourful procession with centenary ‘Ratha Jatra’ on January 21 started from B.S.S. Mandir premises and moved around the city. A religious congregation was also held at Mandir premises.
On January 13, a universal peace Yajna would be held at Dimapur Railway High School campus at 6 p.m. B.S.S. has invited all and sundry to take part in the Yajna.
