Pfutseromi Youth Society (PYS) celebrated its 69th annual session-cum-Tsukhenyie festival on April 24 at the village community hall with registrar, co-operative societies, Nagaland, Kohima, Wepe Ritse, as the guest speaker.
A press release from PYS stated that the guest speaker encouraged the people, particularly the youth, to preserve and inculcate the “good old culture and traditions”.
Ritse also expressed concern over the diminishing work culture in society and urged the youth to be actively engaged in different fruitful and decent activities to keep themselves self-reliant.
Earlier, the guest speaker also unfurled the PYS flag; the programme was chaired by Kewekhro Mero while village council chairman, Menyielhi Mero extended Tsukhenyie greetings.
