Tremors were felt across North East region as moderate earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale hit Myanmar on Monday night at around 11:02 p.m.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake hit at the latitude of 24.40 degrees and longitude of 94.77 degrees at a depth of 20 km. There was no immediate report of any casualty or damage to property. Seismologists consider the northeastern region as the sixth most earthquake-prone belt in the world.
