
Students from 11 districts of the state, who won the district level quiz competition 2018 on the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi were felicitated on October 2 at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan by Governor of Nagaland, P.B. Acharya.
A press release by the department of Higher Education stated that the quiz competition, in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, was conducted by the government colleges in their respective districts inclusive of private colleges and higher secondary schools.
The release said that the winners also attended a seminar organized by Raj Bhavan on the same day. Nagaland University, vice chancellor, professor Pardeshi Lal was the chairperson, minister for Higher and Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along, delivered the keynote address while Acharya delivered the valedictory speech.
The seminar was attended by 228 students and faculty representatives from all the colleges under Kohima and Dimapur districts.
