R-Day: CM, ministers, advisors to unfurl National Flag

Home department has issued notification assigning the Chief Minister, Ministers, Advisors and the Deputy Speaker to unfurl the National Flag and take the Rashtriya Salute on the occasion of Republic Day, January 26, 2026, at designated locations across Nagaland.
According to the DIPR, chief minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, will unfurl the National Flag at Kohima. Other dignitaries will officiate at the following district headquarters: Kaito Aye, Minister Roads & Bridges – Zunheboto; Jacob Zhimomi, Minister PHE – Niuland; Paiwang, Minister H&FW – Mon; Metsubo Jamir, Minister Rural Development & SIRD – Dimapur; Temjen Imna Along, Minister Tourism & Higher Education – Wokha; C.L. John, Minister FE&CC, V.G. – Peren; Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister Women Resource Development & Horticulture – Meluri; Toiho, Deputy Speaker NLA – Shamator; Zhaleo Rio, Advisor Urban Development Department & Municipal Affairs Department– Chumoukedima; T.N. Mannen, Advisor Law & Justice, Land Revenue – Mokokchung; Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor School Education, SCERT – Noklak; Hekani Jakhalu, Advisor Industries & Commerce – Tseminyu; Imkongmar, Advisor Minority Affairs & Sericulture – Longleng; Ikuto Zhimomi, Advisor Land Resources – Phek; Chingang Konyak, Advisor DUDA & Geology & Mining – Tuensang and Wangpang Konyak, Advisor Social Welfare – Kiphire.
For ADC headquarters and sub-divisions not assigned to any dignitary, the local MLAs may officiate at the Republic Day function.
In their absence, the respective administrative officers will unfurl the National Flag and take the Rashtriya Salute.
Further, Deputy Chief Ministers, Ministers, Advisors and MLAs who are available in station may attend the Republic Day function at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima.
