DIMAPUR: Sargam Cultural Association, in collaboration with the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organised Rabindra Utsav 2026 at Durga Mandir Auditorium, Dimapur, on Sunday.
The programme began with the National Song, followed by a short address from advocate Mahavir Jain, advisor to Sargam. An art competition was held as part of the event, with 160 contestants participating across three groups.
In Group A, Girikbe Langthasa secured first position, Yanshika Pradhan second and Subham Paul third, while consolation prizes went to Prity Roy and Tanisha Das. In Group B, Leevika Debnath won first, Shana Ghosh second and Smiti Debnath third, with consolation prizes awarded to Subhojit Debnath and Jini Maibangsa. In Group C, Dilipdi Jigdung bagged first, Sudip Biswas second and Deepshika Bhattacharjee third, while Sanjita Dey and Lakhi Dey received consolation prizes.
The competition was judged by Rajive Dey, Kamal Das and Manjit Mukherjee. The programme was compered by Pampi Sarkar and Srabanee Acharjee, with concept and direction by Kamal Acharjee. Pankaj Sinha of Vidya Bharati, Dimapur, also attended the event.
