Rainfall likely across Northeast region

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated heavy rainfall with lightning and thunderstorms over parts of Northeast.
According to IMD, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds (30-50 kmph) is likely over Assam and Meghalaya during April 15-18; with lightning over Arunachal Pradesh during April 15-18 and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during April 15-17.
Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Nagaland on April 18. IMD also forecast gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during April 15-16.
