India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (speed reaching 40-50 kmph) was likely over Northeast during next five days.
In its daily weather bulletin, IMD said heavy rainfall likely over Assam & Meghalaya during April 16-18 and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on April 17. On Tuesday, minimum temperatures were appreciably above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
