
Farewell programme for outgoing ADC to governor, Ado Yanlem was held at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima on March 8, 2021. He served the office of the governor for two years and two months.
According to PRO to governor, RN Ravi while felicitating the outgoing officer said Ado earned the love and affection of the entire Raj Bhavan family.
He lauded his professional and humane qualities. Governor shared that once a work was entrusted to Ado, no reminders were needed since he would always execute it perfectly.
Stating that a person in uniform was a role model and an inspiration, especially for the youth and that when he carries out responsibility with humility and a sense of service, he can do wonders. In this regard, the governor urged Ado to be one such role model. In his farewell speech, Ado expressed gratitude to the governor, his wife and family as well as staff of the Raj Bhavan for providing an environment where he could grow as a police officer and as human being. He said serving two different dynamic governors was challenging and a learning experience which he would cherish throughout his life. He expressed appreciation and gratitude to all the staff for making his stay at Raj Bhavan a memorable one. Earlier, commissioner & secretary to governor, Mhabemo Yanthan delivered the keynote address and vote of thanks while by deputy SP special branch, Philip Yanthan delivered a speech on behalf of the security personnel.
