Ralan Area Lotha Hoho (RALH) and Yamhon Area Public Organisation (YAPO) jointly inspected the ongoing Doyang Bridge construction, in Liphanyan on January 30. The team was satisfied that the work was progressing according to government specifications.
A joint press release from RALH vice president, Nyimathung Odyuo and general secretary YAPO, Mhonchan Tsanglao stated the two organisations held a joint meeting chaired by chairman Yamhon Area Public Organisation, Khenjung, and deliberated various Foothill road construction issues and resolved the following points: The uncut portion from Liphi village to Ruchan be done as per original alignment; the existing road from Governor’s Camp Liphanyan to Tongtongo junction Ralan Old will connect the Foothill road as approved by the state government and no alterations or new alignments will be allowed; any developmental activities in the two areas should be implemented after prior information to local authorities.
It further warned that in case of anyone or any agency defying this information leading to complications or problems, the local authorities will not be held responsible.
