RALOA urges railways to halt work on disputed land

Railway Affected Landowners Association (RALOA) has expressed concern over the ongoing developmental activities by railways on disputed land in Dimapur, even as efforts were underway to resolve the long-standing issue.
RALOA general secretary (admin & media cell), Hetokhu Awomi, acknowledged the positive response shown by Railway Ministry and the serious concern expressed by the state government, which constituted a high powered committee (HPC) to find an amicable solution at the earliest. However, the association stated that it noticed the railways carrying out certain developmental works in areas that were still under dispute. RALOA has, therefore, fervently appealed to the railways to immediately restrain from undertaking any such activities until a final agreement was reached between all concerned parties.
